Switzerland Day 1: Arrival in Bern.

The view from my Dorm
The Albert Einstein Museum
The sculpture in front of the museum
Bern has alot of odd sculputres, they just have a lot of wierd statues and sculptures all over.
On bit of the city. The tall building there is called Zytglogge (The Clock Tower) Unfortunatly they are doing some renovations to it right now.
Down the river a bit. You can also see the trees are starting to turn colors.

This is one of the many gardens in the city. This here was a park, and the garden in it was huge, this is only a small bit of it.
This was a statue that was in the middle of the garden at that park.
View
More city. It was a cloudy day today, but it actually warmer here than it was in Paris.

Another view of the city.
Bern is a really nice city. And I just got here this afternoon. Alot of really cool buildings and art and what not. The city itself is pretty small since it is kind of like a peninsula with a river going around it. I can easily walk from one side to another probably a couple times in a day. The hostel im staying at is right in the middle of it too. It is like a 5 minute stroll to the train station and literally right outside the door there are about 3 cafes and a bunch of resteraunts. Iv even found a CO-OP here. Its called CO-OP city, and it is a bunch of clothing and accesory shops along with a couple resteraunts and a big grocery store, im assuming they all just help eachother out financially and stuff. But its pretty cool. Its definatly a shopping town. ALot of clothes and shoes and watches and jewelry.

Another thing that i have noticed is that there are A TON of bikes, WAY more than what i saw in Paris. This city probably has more bikes than all of Traverse City. There are parking zones on just about every corner for bikes and there has to be at least 100 bikes at each one. None of them are locked up either. People will just leave their bikes out. Its crazy. So the only reason i can come up with for why they wouldnt let me bring my bike here is because they already have too many bikes. I will have to take more pictures of that tomarrow. It is crazy.
