Paris Day 2: Fully Loaded.

So today i woke up pretty early, even though i had trouble getting to sleep lastnight. And since i was awake so early i decided to actually do something rather than just try going back to sleep. So i debated weather i should look for a bike shop more, or go see big things. I decided since i had looked around so much lastnight i would just go towards the big things. So i started walking the canal accross the street from my hostel. It was alright, smelt a little funny. But i just walked sticking to the canal.
At one point the canal actually went under the road and everything, it was kinda wierd. But i just kept walking, started seeing some pretty cool buildings, i saw a guy vomiting on the side of the street. But it started getting a little bit cleaner out.

There was actually a point that i had gotten so far that i just decided to turn back, because i figured if i was going to find a bike shop and get a tube then i might as well just keep going the way i was going and just fix my bike tomarrow. So i decided that if i turned back and started looking for a shop a further away from the canal then i would be able to get back to the hostel in time to fix it and go for a night ride through Paris. So thats what i did, yet somehow i ended up running into another canal. I thought Venice was the one with all the canals!
But this one was a bit better, had better bridges and it just had an older style. So i just decided to stick with it actually.
The buildings on the side were getting older, its was like the further i went down this canal the older everything got.
The streets were all really narrow like this, you can tell that when Paris was built they didnt really mean for cars to be on these streets. So its actually pretty cool.
Then i see this thing on the other side of the canal and i decided to check it out. Its an old old church.
Saw this thing along the way also.
Okay, a bit closer to the old old church.
Oh, look at that, i found Notre Dame. I had no idea i was this close. I knew that if i were to walk down the canal this would be the first thing i would see, but i really didnt know i was this close to it, even when i decided to turn back and start heading back to my hostel, clearly i wasnt going the right way.

Who is this guy? Its a specific artist that puts these little tile dudes up and iv seen 5 of them here in Paris now. I know iv read about these things in a magazine before.

But, since i was at Notre Dame and i realized i was only further away from my hostel i decided to take a chance. I found a metro line that went right up to the road that the hostel is on. So i took it, i figured im already pretty far away, if it takes me further away then i will just ride it back. But the way it is set up in the station it is actually really easy. Every line has two ends. Like most subways in big cities. The problem i always run into is i will take the right train, but i will take it the wrong way. But here in Paris they have it so you cant make that mistake. So it actually wasnt that bad. I might do it again maybe while im here. Its just i did end up finding a bike store, the employee spoke NO english, everything went down by just pointing and making hand gestures. But i got a tube, right size and everything. So my bike is up and running. Why am I here on my computer though? Well, merely for you people. At Notre Dame the battery in my camera died, so im waiting for it to charge, and I do plan on taking a night ride to the Eiffle Tower tonight. Im going to be living out a dream of mine tonight, riding my bike under the Eiffle Tower.

On every road and every side walk there are bike lanes, having a bike in Paris is perfect, safe, and easy. It is almost impossible to get hit by anyone unless they are the ones doing something wrong. While walking along the canal there is a specific bike path along there and the further i walked the more mad i was getting that i couldnt ride my bike down the path. Well i have tonight now, and all day tomarrow. So im excited i finally i have my bike going again.

One problem though, i need to figure out how to get to the train station im leaving out of to Bern and then make sure they can take my bike. Hopfully they can...otherwise im not sure what i will do.

dude, glad to hear that you're safe and that you are able to see so much. I'm glad that you got to hang with Simon and Scrapper so much in London too. Thanks for posting all this stuff for us folks back here to read.
